D4.1 – Multi-actor collaboration dynamics and capacity building network inside and between AKIS to foster the up-scaling of SFSCs across Europe
This deliverable provides an overview of successful practices across Europe that support the development of short food supply chains (SFSCs). It identifies key regulatory approaches and collaborative models that help overcome common barriers faced by small-scale producers, such as limited market access, lack of infrastructure, and complex regulations. By analysing these cases, the report offers practical guidelines and recommendations for policymakers, advisors, and stakeholders to replicate and adapt these solutions in different contexts, ultimately strengthening more sustainable, local, and resilient food systems.
DOWNLOADD2.2 Analysis of the key success factors and barriers to the delivery of SFSC advice in AKIS
The multi-actor workshops held by EU4Advice across Hungary, the Netherlands, Spain, and Ireland provided valuable insights into the delivery of Short Food Supply Chain (SFSC) advice within Agricultural Knowledge and Innovation Systems (AKIS). Through collaborative discussions involving stakeholders from various sectors, including farmers, policymakers, researchers, and community representatives, several common themes emerged (and are compiled in this deliverable) highlighting both opportunities and challenges in advancing SFSC initiatives.
DOWNLOADD2.1 List of minimum requirements to comply with CAP Strategic Plans
The aim of this report is to find minimum criteria, characteristics of Short Food Supply Chain (SFSC) advisors and to recommend a checklist for those who give advice for SFSC actors. The overall objective of recommending such a selection criteria framework for SFSC advisors is to support the integration into the EU SFSC Knowledge Transfer Network and of prerequisites for advisory services to be integrated into national AKIS and comply with national CAP Strategic Plans. Each country has a different background and SFSC ecosystem thus the established checklist of core requirements for the SFSC advisors is only a recommendation, a guideline which can be used by the Member States (MSs) for the integration into their National AKIS.
