EU4Advice at the FOOD 2030 Networks Conference: Strengthening Europe’s Living Labs

EU4Advice and COREnet were delighted to take part in the FOOD 2030 Networks Conference, where 3 networks, 130 projects, 90 Living Labs and more than 150 participants came together to imagine the future of sustainable and healthy food systems in Europe.
In this ecosystem of innovators, Amped, Kislépték and Iseki (EU4Advice partners) joined workshops led by Athena Research and Innovation Center and the University of Copenhagen, focused on building an EU-wide learning network of Living Labs. The conversations highlighted the growing importance of collaboration, cocreation and mass participation—key ingredients for impactful EU-funded projects.
Our contribution centred on how Living Labs can ensure long-term engagement and value creation. Mark Frederiks, on behalf of Amped, explored how gamification can strengthen both bottom-up and top-down collaboration, and how technologies such as blockchain and tokenisation can unlock new ways to recognise social, economic, and ecological value within local food systems.
As a side event of the Danish EU Presidency Conference on Transformative Governance for Food Systems and Biodiversity, this gathering gave us the opportunity to connect with more than 300 influencers and identify new opportunities for shared projects and initiatives.
EU4Advice will continue to support these connections and the Living Labs that are leading food system transformation across Europe.
