Amped, a partner in the EU4Advice project, is going to participate in the upcoming Reformaten event during Copenhagen Cooking on August 16th from 13:30 to 16:00. This unique event will offer participants a glimpse into a future where local food systems are at the heart of sustainable living.

The Reformaten event is a 2.5-hour immersive meal experience that transports attendees 10 years into the future. In this envisioned scenario, the local community plays a central role in managing the food system, shifting food processing from large factories to social production spaces. This future sees food deeply integrated into people’s lives and the urban landscape, contributing to a system that is socially, economically, and environmentally sustainable.

The chef for the session is Marissa Lippert. Supporting the assessment will be Kristin Evensen Friis, a doctor and Ph.D. student specializing in women’s diseases, Bent Egberg Mikkelsen, Professor, Urban Food Systems Transformation at Københavns Universitet and Dr. Christopher Turner, Senior Lecturer in Food Systems at the University of Greenwich, among others.

Vinnova, Sweden’s innovation agency, finances the development of this experience. During this experience, Reformaten will also present the policy work on food environments that Amped conducted in Stockholm through an EU-financed Horizon project named the Shared Green Deal.

Mark Frederiks from Amped looks forward to engaging with participants in this innovative format and exploring how we can collectively create a food system that not only nourishes us but also supports the health of our planet and communities.
