On Thursday, 30th October, there is a day of events at Trinity, Dublin – see details below. There will be Food System Transformation discussions and activities at the Electric Picnic, and we will be participating in the forthcoming Field Exchange symposium. There is also a Talamh Beo update on Palestine solidarity from Ollie Moore. Partner Morning Session – Networking & Briefing Phibsborough

Thursday 30th October | 10:30 – 12:00 | The Spark, Phibsborough Tower, Dublin 7

This session offers an opportunity for up to two representatives from each symposium partner organisation to come together. It will include a briefing from Sean McCabe on Community Wealth Building, sharing insights from his recent visit to the Evergreen Coop in the US, and an introduction to Boh’s Spark project. Key details about the afternoon symposium programme will also be presented to ensure all partners are aligned and prepared.

Afternoon of inspiration in Trinity

Thursday 30th October I 13.30 – 17.30 Regent House, Trinity College Dublin

An afternoon of inspiration and dialogue focused on strengthening local food systems.

The event will bring together diverse sectors to nurture collaboration, highlight the vital connections between agriculture, nutrition, and public health, and explore the potential of public procurement and community wealth building principles as powerful levers to support local producers and enhance community wellbeing.

Together, we will explore other practical ways to support farmers and local food producers, advance key policy proposals—including a Basic Income—and showcase innovative practices that deliver for climate resilience, biodiversity, health, and sustainable livelihoods.

Farming is Medicine – full film, discussion and meal, Trinity

Thursday 30th October I 18.00 – 21.00 I Regent House I Trinity College Dublin

Networking opportunity with a screening of the thought-provoking short film featuring Rupa Marya, exploring the deep connections between farming, health and community. The screening will be followed by a conversation with Rupa and Ollie Moore, and includes a relaxed buffet meal of locally sourced, seasonal food.
